Eating Disorder Treatment Center

An eating disorder center typically provides inpatient, day-patient and outpatient services. The staff at an eating disorder clinic are trained and experienced in the treatment of eating disorders. An experienced multidisciplinary team is required to address the medical complications listed above associated with eating disorders.

Residential treatment or Inpatient treatment is recommended when an individual encounters difficulties with family conflict, emotional distress, substance abuse, and/or eating disorders, and cannot be managed in the home. Due to the nature of the disease many individuals need to begin treatment in the inpatient level of treatment. To increase the likelihood of long-term recovery many progress on to Intensive Day Treatment Programs, which provide extended care options.

The purpose of a gambling addiction treatment center is to provide therapy, treatment, education, training, research, and to assist problem gamblers and their families. Gambling treatment centers are designed to assist the individual in breaking through denial while experiencing unconditional acceptance and guidance. Education and information about progression of compulsive gambling/spending behaviors is often provided. A family treatment component is often included.

Some also provide outpatient services, sober-living housing, aftercare, HIV/AIDS Services, family counseling and programs, women’s services, domestic violence intervention, anger management and community education services. Many have transitional living programs attached or refer to these after treatment is completed.
