How Our Helpline Works

For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the helpline is a private and convenient solution.

Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).

We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.

Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.

For more information on AAC’s commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.

If you wish to explore additional treatment options or connect with a specific rehab center, you can browse top-rated listings, or visit SAMHSA.

Who Answers?

Do you or someone you know misuse and abuse drugs? There is help in Oakland. Addiction recovery is the process of reclaiming your life and taking control of your future. Addiction of drugs or alcohol not only affects you, but your friends and family as well. If you feel like you need drugs or alcohol because it has become a daily routine and you do not feel right when you are not in that state of mind, we need to help you now!

Oakland drug rehab starts with you agreeing and wanting to stop. If your mind is not into it, no matter how much treatment you go through, you will go back to your old ways. The first part of the process is detox, where you cleanse your body of all the toxins. This can be a painful process because your body will go through withdrawal. The next step is going to a Oakland rehabilitation center. Here you have access to therapists, counselors, psychologists, and interventionists. Daily recovery workshops are geared towards providing you with a healthy, and sober lifestyle for you after treatment is over.

Sober living homes are a great place to be in after completing a Oakland rehab center. This is part of the ongoing drug rehab process until it is clear that you are ready to live your clean and sober life on your own. While in the sober living homes, you are in an environment with other drug and alcohol recoveries. There is a great deal of support in these facilities and it makes it easier to finish the process. For additional information on rehab visit the California Department of Alcohol and Drugs Program.
