How Our Helpline Works

For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the helpline is a private and convenient solution.

Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).

We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.

Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.

For more information on AAC’s commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.

If you wish to explore additional treatment options or connect with a specific rehab center, you can browse top-rated listings, or visit SAMHSA.

Home Celebrity News Actor Chris Klein Accepts Responsibility for his Actions

The actor, Chris Klein, pleads no contest to a DUI charge on Friday. This charge was involved with his June 16th arrest on the 101 Freeway. We all know Chris is famous for his appearance on “American Pie”, but his ability to cope with the court system is what catches the media’s attention.
Chris stated to the judge,“ I apologize for my wrongdoing and I really appreciate that the court gave me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this.” To me, this statement means a lot, a celebrity being able to realize his actions and take responsibility for them, is definitely surprising in today’s media. He has served four days in jail already but he is on four years of probation and 18 months in an alcohol program.
His incident was very minor but still shouldn’t be shunned away. He was arrested at 3:15am on June 16th because he was swerving in between lanes. Luckily, he did not hit anyone or kill anyone. He was released on a $25,000 bond later that afternoon at 5pm. The most shocking news in my eyes is that Chris checked himself in rehab later that week.
This says a lot, finally a celebrity realizing that maybe they do have a problem and going to seek further help. More importantly is that Chris Klein has only improved his life for himself by admitting that he has a problem.
For now, we will see what happens in the future for this young actor…. Good luck Chris.
