A Step Forward is a faith-based non-profit organization that provides halfway and supportive housing. ASF was established in 2002, and provides a variety of programs and wrap-around services that help individuals to reach a stage of self-sufficiency. ASF works with both homeless men and women who may be fighting the disease of addiction and other related issues that are associated with it such as incarceration, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, financial difficulties, illiteracy, unemployment and underemployment. By creating a therapeutic community that is supportive for recovery, our goal is to help return individuals to their communities.
