The in-patient treatment programs at Clear Brook are based upon the belief that alcoholism / chemical dependency is a primary disease. We believe that the alcoholic and chemically dependent person have the capacity to abstain from all mood altering chemicals and the capacity to actualize their human potential; to demonstrate personal freedom and responsibility; to exercise self-determination and personal choice; to realize personal growth and change; and to form meaningful, workable relationships with the world outside themselves. These factors are vital to recovery from alcoholism / chemical dependency.
