William J. McCord Center

The William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility is an office of health, information, intervention and treatment services operating under the authority of the Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Licensed by the Department of Health and Environmental (DHEC) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility provides quality services to those individuals and their families experiencing a wide range of substance abuse problems and/or emotional difficulties. When an individual calls the William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility for services, they can be assured that they will receive the very best care.

With an emphasis on individuality, the William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility tailors services to meet the unique needs of each consumer it serves. The starting point after an appointment has been made is to have an Assessment completed. This service is designed to allow the counselor and consumer to discover the issues that are causing concern and discomfort and begin the process of developing a plan to resolve those issues. From that point, the counselor may recommend a variety of services to meet those needs. Services may include Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Family Counseling or a combination of the above. If services are needed that the William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility cannot provide, the counselor will work with the consumer to refer them to another provider for appropriate services.
