I have a private practice in Bend, OR. Some clients come for psychotherapy to change life-long troublesome patterns of thinking, feeling, and seeing the world. Others come with relationship issues. Many clients have addictions. I provide a space where they can be totally honest, and feel supported as they break their cycle of substance dependency or abuse. I understand that the behaviors need to change immediately, in order to begin to heal the shame and create a new life. I use psychodynamic methods, role play, guided imagery and other Gestalt techniques to explore problems stemming from childhood issues. Some clients come with life transition challenges, and we explore choices and decisions to be made. Most of my clients are highly-functioning and capable people who have developed problems in some area of their life, and need help and feedback in changing their thoughts, feelings and behaviors so that they can continue to prosper and grow.
