About Us
Our program is based firmly upon our objectives and thereby is aimed directly at our goal. At the core of the program is the system which has proven to be the most effective means of recovery ever discovered. We are referring of course to the 12-step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Areas of Expertise
Hope Valley was established as a private, non-profit corporation for the treatment and care of alcoholics in June of 1968. The impetus for its establishment was provided by a group of citizens who were interested in seeing alcoholics recover from their illness and become useful, productive citizens. In 1970 a separate facility for women was opened in Pilot Mountain. In the years since, Hope Valley has become a model for the treatment of alcoholics and addicts. Indicative of this is the fact that our recovery curriculum has been adopted by many facilities in North Carolina and in other states. In 1986 our services were again expanded to serve drug dependent clients as well as alcoholics.
Hope Valley, Inc. is licensed by the State of North Carolina, Department of Health & Human Services to operate a chemical dependency treatment facility and has met all standards necessary to provide these services.
We believe that recovery from addiction is a learning process; that if the addicted person is provided with the proper tools and the knowledge of how to use them, he or she can become sober and live a life that is productive and useful.
Our goal is to teach the recovery process in the most effective and efficient manner possible, and to do so at the lowest possible cost
