Power House Programs

Power House Programs is a males only facility for the treatment of Chemical Dependency/Dual Diagnosis, located in Gonzales, Louisiana. Applicants must have participated in a primary treatment program for substance abuse prior to acceptance. Our program is divided into three phases and is staffed by Board Certified Social Workers and Board Certified Substance Abuse Counselors. We provide individual, group and family therapy; plus 12 step meetings in a community setting. We believe that the structure of this environment is essential to the rehabilitation of individuals who have had a history of substance abuse and irresponsible behaviors that accompany chemical dependency.# Applicants must be male, at least 17 years of age, able to pursue high school diploma through correspondence or G.E.D. If the previous have been obtained applicant must be able to find employment. # Must be referred by a chemical dependency counselor or a medical doctor, and must be drug and alcohol free at the time of admissions (with the exception of medication prescribed by the physician at a primary treatment center). # Must have completed a telephone interview with a member of our treatment staff and must agree to abide by all rules and expectations of Power House. # Applicant should be motivated to change and willing to participate actively in his own recovery
