At Timberline Knolls, we believe every woman has the potential to be the best she can be, even if she's been affected by an eating disorder, addiction, self-harming or other destructive behavior. At our innovative residential treatment center on 43 beautiful acres just outside of Chicago, we use an individualized, strengths-based approach to help create emotionally strong, responsible, radiant women who overcome problems, believe in themselves and have the ability to thrive in the real world.

We believe therapy begins in a safe, stable, supportive environment, which is exactly what you'll find at Timberline Knolls. Set on 43 beautiful acres, our facility provides an inspiring and restorative setting that helps to make real change possible in the lives of hundreds of women. Treatment offerred includes: evidence-based, outcome-supported practices cognitive behavioral therapy dialectical behavioral therapy integrative cognitive therapy motivational interviewing family therapy psychodynamic therapy where indicated encouragement in 12-step program participation Healing through creativity and the arts: Expressive Therapy. In conjunction with clinical and academic programs, expressive therapy can play a major role in improving self-esteem, relieving stress and increasing self-awareness. Expressive therapy – provided at Timberline Knolls through dance, arts, exercise and recreational therapy – can promote an overall sense of relaxation and well-being. Our program includes: Equine Assisted Psychotherapy recreational, art and dance therapy on-site fitness facility that offers movement therapy large outdoor area for volleyball, soccer, badminton and gardening historical art studio for all types of art to promote the pleasures of artistic creativity
