Balboa Horizon's suggested 90 day program is clinically comprehensive with a holistic approach to caring for women. Balboa Horizons places a strong emphasis on all of the individual parts that equal the whole person; spiritual, biological, social and psychological. Our program integrates interventions and treatment modalities for each of these areas of recovery as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other traumas also known as co-occurring mental health diagnoses usually associated with alcohol and drugs. Research indicates higher rates of addiction or the tendency to self-medicate in individuals who have experienced traumatic events (1). Balboa Horizons specializes in personalized approaches that promote deep healing from chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders commonly associated with trauma, or PTSD. Our Newport Beach, California location facilitates the physical-recovery with activities such as yoga, massage therapy, beach volleyball, biking and more. Our integrated social interventions include group therapy, individual therapies as well as a core 12 step approach to recovery.
