Tucked away on a cozy cul-de-sac in the middle of Los Angeles’ fast-paced Miracle mile neighborhood is a sanctuary of recovery and hope. Miracle Terrace’s safe, up-scale, residential community is within walking distance of many restaurants, coffee houses, shops, and grocery stores. They offer daily transportation to and from 12-Step meetings. Their spacious, beautifully accommodated sober living house serves as a respite for newly sober and recovering people.
They provide a supportive environment conducive to personal growth and development for people with alcohol and drug addictions, dual diagnosis, and eating disorders. Miracle Terrace’s environment promotes reconnecting with oneself and ones higher-power, however one choses to envision that power. They are 12-Step based but work with other recovery models as well. They are a solution-oriented program focusing on unity, recovery and service as a means of maintaining sobriety and contributing to society.
Miracle Terrace Programs
Miracle Terrace offers individualized on-going treatment planning for those just coming out of a more structured residential treatment program or for those wanting a more spiritual way of living. They work with clients to develop a comprehensive plan for recovery enabling them to feel supported and empowered along the way. The program encourages residents to reach out to the staff and members of the sober community for support and encouragement. Therapist, psychiatrists, and sober coaches offer additional support to Miracle Terrace residents and are a key component of maintained sobriety.
Miracle Terrace has a team approach and a 24-hour live-in support staff. This creates a safety net for residents and enables the treatment team to effectively anticipate and address relapse prevention issues and support the residents in whatever way is needed. There are weekly book studies that form the basic foundations of recovery. Morning meditation at the house serves to focus the day on the principles of recovery and realign with ones intentions. Evening meditation closes the day by reconnecting with ones higher-power finding peace within oneself.
Spirituality at Miracle Terrace
Miracle Terrace’s unique approach to a sober living community nurtures spiritual growth and development in their residents. They offer a variety of spiritual classes to promotes selfawareness and a deep connection with a higher-power. “The work that we do here comes from a place of love, from a place of healing. We want to pay it back,” said Isac Novian, director of Miracle Terrace. “My own recovery was a miracle and I want to pass that miracle on to my residents.”
Their mission is to assist addicts in continued spiritual growth, without which there is an increased likelihood of relapse. Miracle Terrace promotes growth through 12-Step meetings, Kabbalah classes, morning and evening meditations and weekly house check-in meetings that ensure continued progress. In addition, they require residents to have a sponsor and encourage being of service as part of the residents own spiritual journey toward reconnecting with themselves and with their higher power.

Miracle Terrace is a spiritual oasis with a peaceful ambiance that promotes wellness and healing. The covered sitting area in the back garden is perfect for relaxation and fellowship. A meditation room upstairs has a Zen quality that makes one feel at ease. There is a balance and symmetry throughout the exquisitely furnished home that gives it a warm, safe feel. The expert staff are all well experienced in the chemical dependency field and can relate to issues that the residents are struggling with and offer guidance and support for their journey.
