I couldn't agree more

I definately agree with this statement. I tried to quit 3 months into my sobriety and things didn't go so well. One of my mentors at Sober College told me in the first year "smoke them up", the second year smoke if you really need to and the third year quit.

Re: I couldn't agree more

I totally agree with this. I know that I've really replaced my drug addictions with tobacco (and caffiene) but it helps me keep a little more sane. I think that trying to quit all your addictions at once can't be healthy, and that cross addicting can help in some ways.

Re: I couldn't agree more

You guys seem to have good heads on your shoulders! I quit one thing at a time. Stopping my drug use was the most important thing and if quitting smoking was going to screw that up for me then I might as well keep smoking!
