Taking Action in my Recovery Program

Today I took action, I completed AJU today. It is a great feeling to accompish something I've been working for. It took three months but I'm finally done. I have faced a few road blocks along the way though. I procrastinated for a while and said things like this is stupid and pointless. I did almost everything I could to get out of it. I would sit and talk to friends all day instead of working on assignments or I would go and smoke every five minutes. Today I woke up saying I'm going to complete the course today. When I looked at the assignments I had left to complete, I almost reverted back to my old ways of putting it off for as long as possible. I stepped up today though, instead of running away from my responsibilities I faced them head on. I locked myself in a room and wrote five assignments. It feels good to say I'm done finally. I want to explore other things now that interest me. Hopefully I will face them the same way.

Re: Taking Action in my Recovery Program

Great job! Facing responsibilities head on like that is a huge deal. You should be proud of yourself.
