Lohan Misdiagnosed & May Leave Rehab Early
Doctors at UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Westwood are claiming Lindsay Lohan, who was sent to jail and rehab for her alleged addiction to methamphetamine and bipolar disorder, was misdiagnosed.
LL has been weaned off all of her medications: Dilaudid, Ambien, Adderall, Zoloft, Trazadone and Nexium. Reportedly she has not shown any adverse reactions from not taking her meds, but she also did not have any withdrawal symptoms from alcohol.
Doctors believe that Judge Marsha Revel “overreacted” when she sentenced Lohan. The doctors also found that Lohan does not have ADHD, which was why she had a prescription for Adderall. Doctors and psychiatrist say LL is not bipolar, but struggles with a personality disorder.
The Los Angeles district attorney’s office has said that she may duck the full 90-day sentence in rehab.
Addiction specialist Dr. Joe Haraszti told TMZ that the misuse of Adderall from people who don’t need it can show behaviors similar to those who are on methamphetamine and/or cocaine.
According to WebMD: Dilaudid is used to help relieve moderate to severe pain; Ambien is used to help treat sleep problems and is used for a short period of time of 1-2 weeks or less; Adderall is used to treat ADHD and also some sleeping disorders; Zoloft is to treat depression, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder, and a severe form of premenstrual syndrome; Trazadone is for depression, sleeping disorders and or anxiety and Nexium is used to treat acid-related stomach and throat problems.
In my eyes these doctors are full of it. It is contradicting to say she is not an addict but she was taking Adderall when she doesn’t have ADHD. Not too many people get a DUI and continue the same behavior after the incident. Dilaudid is a strong pain reliever and I have yet to hear about any surgeries on Ms. Lohan. Between Ambien, which she used for over two weeks and Trazadone Lohan must have major sleeping issues. Also when doctors say she showed no signs of withdrawal from alcohol, they need to remember she was on an ankle monitoring device, so if she drank alcohol, it definitely wasn’t everyday or to the point where she would have withdrawal symptoms.
With so many stories on this poor girl, her representatives and the people that work with her should all get on the same page so they are all not contradicting one another. I have no issue with Lindsay, I believe she is an addict, and that is okay. Lindsay will never change and move forward with her life if she doesn’t come to terms with her reality, whatever that may be, only she knows. Like some of us, she may need to learn the hard way and keep suffering the repercussions of her actions, sadly when it comes to abusing drugs the repercussions can lead to death.
