Situation In Rehab: The End Of Jersey Shore?

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, from the hit reality show Jersey Shore, confirmed recently that he had checked into Cirque Lodge, a rehabilitation center in the mountains of Utah, for a substance abuse problem.  Rumors had been going around that Sitch was in fact in rehab but he tried to deny the rumors last Tuesday via Twitter saying, “Don’t believe everything you read and hear”.  The next day he used Twitter to release a new statement saying, “The Situation Wants To Set The Record Straight”.  This was followed by a statement on the young TV stars official website which read,

“I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion,” his statement said. “I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys.”The Jersey Show ended its 5th season this month and despite The Situation going to rehab and Snookie getting pregnant, MTV still intends to shoot a 6th season. So, just to clarify, The Situation AND Vinnie are both sober, Snookie is engaged and is due in December, Ronnie and Sammie no longer fight (probably because Ronnie is off the juice), J-Wow has a boyfriend and never parties, and Deena is just ugly and annoying.  Does this mean no more alcohol poisoning, arrests, and random “smushing”? Has Jersey Shore really turned into a terrible season long prank war?  Where’s Ashton Kutcher? Sounds like another amazing season coming up for the Jersey Shore! However, there is some hope for the show.  Rehabs tend to have a very strict “no skin showing” policy so I’m sure by now The Situation is only one abs show away from being kicked out and relapsing.

Thank god The Situation is in rehab. We all knew he was using drugs. Just look how depressed he was for the few final episodes in the Italy season. He obviously was coming down and didn’t have the luxury of his dealer flying over to get him more. I’ll bet you anything everyone on that show will end up in rehab eventually.
