I grew up in northern New Jersey and came to California when I was 18. I am currently in recovery and reside at a sober living. Since I started my recovery process I have matured drastically and have a new outlook on my life and it is because of the staff in the program I am going through.   The amount of eighteen to twenty-four year olds checking into addiction recovery programs has increased 44.9% since 1999. The amount of students eighteen to twenty four has increased 141.3%. For these students who cannot complete their education due to their problem face the difficulties of not being able to return once they are sober in case they will not be able to handle the college party environment.
